“Developing Leaders for the 21st
Century”
The National Association of
Hispanic Federal Executives (NAHFE) is planning its 2008
National Convention and Executive Training in Washington, DC
during the spring of 2008. This year’s theme, “Developing
Leaders for the 21st Century”, is designed to attract mid-level
and upper-level Hispanic Federal managers who seek the highest
and most influential ranks of the Federal workforce.
This event is designed to provide the two target management
levels with tailored workshops that introduce the necessary
tools to excel at their current level and prepare them for advancement
to the next step in their Federal career. These workshops are
combined with plenary sessions that enhance participants’
knowledge of the challenges and opportunities they can expect
as they embark on this journey. Accomplished Senior Executive Service
(SES) panelists will share their experiences and thoughts at both
the workshops and plenary sessions.
Networking events are scheduled to encourage each participant to
network with other NAHFE members and Federal government
officials.
These events will promote an appreciation range of Federal agency
talent and will provide the opportunity to learn of potential
professional development opportunities.
NAHFE is excited to launch its Career Development Program (CDP)
during the National Convention. The NAHFE CDP provides a
series of workshops, lectures and events that, building on the
Convention success, will provide an on-going professional
forum for the Hispanic Federal workforce to continue to grow both
professionally and personally.
We look forward to meeting the Federal government’s Hispanic
mid and upper level managers at the NAHFE Annual Convention
and Executive Training. If you have any questions or if you
would like to be included in the planning committee, please write to
