History

History:

The NAHFE Washington DC Chapter was started by Mr. Al Gallegos and officially installed in April of 2007.

Initially it consisted of members representing five different agencies: USAID, GSA, EPA, EEOC and USPS. A few weeks later the USDA was integrated into the chapter.

Shortly after that it was determined that all agencies within the Federal Triangle area would be a part of the Chapter.

Currently it is "The Washington DC Chapter" .

Eventually the current National NAHFE president, Mr. Jose Osegueda, agreed that the Washington DC Chapter should include all agencies within the DC metro area including Virginia and Maryland.

The current Executive Committee consists of the following:

President           - Al Gallegos

Vice President - Francisco Zamora

Treasurer          - Laura McMullen

Secretary          - Celia Rivas

The Washington DC Chapter currently has members from approximately 30 different agencies within the metro area.
