- NAHFE often receives requests
for speakers to talk on issues affecting Hispanics
in the federal government and community as a whole.

LEADERSHIP
MENTORING PROGRAM
|
|
- This program seeks to increase
the number of federal employees that become
qualified to meet the core qualifications to fill
upper level positions including, but not limited to,
SES positions. Unless otherwise noted, current NAHFE
members, GS-12 to GS15, are eligible to apply.
Mentors are former or current members of the Senior
Executive Services, volunteer career coaches, and
highly-qualified GS-14/15s. In 2014, NAHFE launched
a pilot program with about 7 participants and 7
mentors. In 2015, the program grew substantially,
with 22 participants and 21 mentors. NAHFE make
continuous improvements to the mentoring program
based on participants feedback, best practices, and
lessons learned.

NAHFE's
LEADERSHIP HOUR
|
|
- The NAHFE Leadership Hour is a
virtual, 60-minute, facilitated session in which
participants have the opportunity to engage with
leaders, executive coaches, authors, and others.
These individuals share practical advice, guidance,
and encouragement with an emphasis on career
development, management, and leadership. Sessions
will be held via teleconference at least once every
quarter at 12:00 p.m. EST. This program aims to
expand NAHFE professional development initiatives
across the nation while providing much needed
flexibility to those in the DC metro area.
